Just not emotionally.

Our evolution has taken us from the most basic microorganism to the top of the food chain. We have grown to not o ly be the apex predator on the planet in comparison but we have grown to be so “apex” we take ourselves out.

It is said that if you remove the house fly from existence the world would quickly collapse into a barren wasteland void of life, but if you eliminate humans the world would grow to exponentially with life and prosperity.

I am not advocating for the extinction of the human species. What I am calling for is the intentional drive towards our emotional evolution.

If you read my article about trauma (link below)you will see that there is a reptilian part of the brain that kicks into high gear when our stress response is activated. When this occurs, Only the necessary part of the mind and body stay activated.

Honestly, we are in that mode way more than we give credit or wish to acknowledge.

To be fair we have evolved with the prefrontal cortex and various other parts of our brain that other species don’t have.

But I am not talking about physical evolution. I am talking about using the equipment (brain regions) that…
