Good and evil are labels we use when we lack connection!
Get into any deep conversation, and the concept of good and evil will arise. What is it? Where does it come from? Who prescribes its borders? Where, when, and how do the definitions become blurred?
It’s fascinating to explore human history and see how the definitions of these concepts have significantly changed and been altered over time, given culture and the development of the human mind and soul.
Without going too far outside the boundaries of this conversation, let’s consider the two aspects often discussed when exploring right and wrong.
Free will is expressed as a mechanism of the human spirit given to us by our creator in the pursuit of experiencing the most profound connection with the creator of the most intense feeling of separation.
The social construction. For a society to be established, maintained, and flourish, there must be a social contract to which we define the behavioral limits to which society will allow expression. We place boundaries upon specific actions, behaviors, and speech.
These two concepts used in the conversation of good and evil are usually separated, given one is spiritual and the other is thought to be that of the process of biological and social science.
