Don’t help, inspire!

All too often, we do a task or help another person with a specific goal, chore, or challenge they might have, and we feel good about it.

I’m here to challenge you and say that is not enough boldly!

You help and feel sustained for a moment. They appreciate it, and you quickly return to our sedentary life perspectives.

Find the time to connect and get to know the people you are helping.

Remember, the action is helping; the connection is an inspiration!

Find a commonality, find a difference, and respectfully explore the other's opinions, or create an odd moment where you both can laugh and smile!

All too often, life is dire; we go around and ignore and forget the value we all carry. Focused on our little insignificant worlds and issues when the focus should be on the ever-so-important world and challenges we all share!

Get out of your head and find yourself smiling and shaking another hand while starting a conversation.

The regrets of those on their deathbeds have nothing to do with materialistic gains or prowess but with connection, conversation, and heartfelt conversations.

So, I say, “memento mori.” Remember death, for what you say and do matters!

When we look back on our lives, we can probably count on one full hand the number of people who have greatly impacted us and caused us to go in a different direction. Be that person for someone else.

For you never know how those around you perceive you. Make it count!
